Most cleansers just remove makeup and dirt. Ecdysis combines antioxidants, enzymes (from papaya fruit ferment), phospholipids and hydrating actives like hyaluronic acid, cleansing while actively supporting the skin barrier rather than stripping it.

How do I use Ecdysis Bio-Ferment Enzyme Cleanse?

Massage a small amount onto damp skin morning and night, then rinse with lukewarm water. Gentle enough for twice-daily use.

Can I use this if I have sensitive skin?

Yes — formulated without sulphates or harsh surfactants, and contains calming, barrier-supportive ingredients like aloe vera and niacinamide.

Is it safe during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?

Yes — as a cleanser without retinoids or high-percentage acids, Ecdysis is generally considered safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Will this remove makeup, or do I need a separate makeup remover?

Ecdysis effectively removes light-to-moderate makeup. For heavier or waterproof makeup, use a dedicated remover first, followed by Ecdysis as your actual cleanse step.

Does the papaya enzyme exfoliate the same way an acid would?

Enzyme exfoliation works differently to acids — it gently breaks down surface dead skin cells rather than dissolving intercellular bonds, typically gentler than AHA/BHA acids.

Can I use this alongside retinol or vitamin C treatments?

How much should I use, and how long will the 200mL bottle last?

A little goes further than you'd expect — most people find their 200mL bottle lasts 6–10 weeks with regular use. Using more than the guided amount won't improve results and just uses product faster.

What if I don't see results after a few weeks?

Skin cell turnover takes time, so most actives need consistent use over several weeks before results are visible — stopping and restarting resets that clock. If you've used it consistently for the timeframes above and aren't seeing change, book a consultation with Cassandra to check it's the right formula for your specific skin.
