How do I use Rapture Perfume Oil?

Apply to pulse points — wrists, neck, behind the ears — using the roll-on applicator. Oil-based perfume sits closer to the skin and develops more subtly than an alcohol-based spray.

Why do you use natural essential oils instead of synthetic fragrance?

Synthetic fragrance is typically listed on a label as a single word — "fragrance" or "parfum" — which can legally represent a mix of dozens of undisclosed synthetic chemicals. Natural essential oils are traceable, individually identifiable botanical extracts, so we know and can stand behind exactly what's in the blend, rather than a proprietary black box.

What's the concern with synthetic fragrances and phthalates?

Phthalates are sometimes used in synthetic fragrance formulations as solvents or fixatives to help scent last longer on skin. Certain phthalates (including DEHP, DBP and BBP) have raised concern for their potential endocrine-disrupting effects and are restricted in cosmetics under EU Cosmetics Regulation. Because we formulate with natural essential oils rather than synthetic fragrance compounds, this entire ingredient category simply isn't part of our formulation.

What do you use to preserve the oil?

Vitamin E (tocopherol) — a naturally occurring antioxidant that helps protect the oil blend from oxidation over time, used here instead of synthetic preservative systems.

What's the base oil, and why jojoba?

Jojoba oil is our carrier. Its molecular structure closely mirrors skin's own natural sebum — making it a skin-identical oil that's readily absorbed and unlikely to clog pores, unlike many synthetic carrier oils used in conventional perfume oils.

Is it safe during pregnancy?

Fragrance sensitivity can increase during pregnancy for some people. If you're pregnant and concerned about any fragrance product, patch test first or check with your doctor.

Can I wear this if I have sensitive skin?

Natural essential oils can still be sensitising for some reactive skin types, even without synthetic components. We'd suggest a small patch test on your inner arm before applying to your neck or pulse points if you have a history of fragrance sensitivity.

Is it vegan and cruelty-free?

Yes — Rapture Perfume Oil is vegan and cruelty-free, with no animal-derived ingredients and no animal testing.

Does Rapture Perfume Oil have any skincare benefits, or is it purely fragrance?

This is purely a fragrance product — unlike the rest of the Ocinium range, we haven't formulated it with active skincare claims. If you're looking for a treatment product, our facial oils (Revive Rescue Elixir, Lumus, Green Tea + Ginseng, Papaya + Pomegranate) are formulated with that intent instead.

Where does Rapture Perfume Oil fit in my routine if I'm using other Ocinium products?

Rapture Perfume Oil is a not part of a skincare layering sequence. Layer it after your skincare routine is finished and fully absorbed, since it's a fragrance product rather than a treatment step.

How much should I use, and how long will the roll-on bottle last?

A little goes further than you'd expect — most people find their roll-on bottle lasts 6–10 weeks with regular use. Using more than the guided amount won't improve results and just uses product faster.

What if I don't see results after a few weeks?

Skin cell turnover takes time, so most actives need consistent use over several weeks before results are visible — stopping and restarting resets that clock.
