What makes Luxe Lip Balm different from a standard lip balm?

Most lip balms are purely occlusive — they seal in moisture but don't actively treat the lips. Luxe Lip Balm combines vitamin C, CoQ10 and vitamin E, bringing an antioxidant treatment element to a category that's usually just moisture-sealing.

How do I use Luxe Lip Balm?

Apply directly to lips as needed throughout the day, or as the final step of your skincare routine at night. Can be worn alone or underneath any lip colour.

Is Luxe Lip Balm vegan?

This is the one exception in the Ocinium range — Luxe Lip Balm contains beeswax for its texture and lip-conditioning properties, so it is not vegan, though it remains cruelty-free. Every other Ocinium product is fully vegan.

Is it safe during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?

Yes — as a lip balm without retinoids or high-percentage actives, this is considered safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Will this feel sticky or heavy on the lips?

No — formulated to feel nourishing without the sticky, tacky texture common in richer lip treatments, comfortable to wear under makeup.

What does CoQ10 actually do for lips?

CoQ10 (ubiquinone) is a naturally occurring antioxidant and cellular energiser that helps protect skin cells against oxidative damage, applied here to the thinner, more exposed skin of the lips.

Can I wear this under lipstick or lip gloss?

Yes — designed to be worn underneath any lip colour as a nourishing base layer, or on its own for daily lip care.

How long until I notice softer, less dry lips?

Most people notice an improvement within a few days, since lip skin turns over and responds to hydration more quickly than facial skin.

Is it cruelty-free even though it contains beeswax?

Yes — cruelty-free refers to no animal testing, which applies here. Beeswax is animal-derived, which is why this product isn't labelled vegan, but no animal testing occurs anywhere in its production.

How should I store it?

Keep at room temperature, away from direct heat which can soften or melt the balm. Once opened, use within 12 months.

Where does Luxe Lip Balm fit in my routine if I'm using other Ocinium products?

Luxe Lip Balm is a final step, applied to lips specifically. Layer it at any point — it's not part of the face layering sequence, apply whenever lips need it, including over the top of the rest of your routine.

How much should I use, and how long will the lip balm tube last?

A little goes further than you'd expect — most people find their lip balm tube lasts 6–10 weeks with regular use. Using more than the guided amount won't improve results and just uses product faster.

What if I don't see results after a few weeks?

Skin cell turnover takes time, so most actives need consistent use over several weeks before results are visible — stopping and restarting resets that clock.
